Outfits, as I wore them or how I would wear them, to serve as inspiration to all my fabulous readers!
//Wide-leg pants are definitely on trend and have been for a few seasons. I found a pair that I love while thrifting a few weeks ago and they are the perfect length for my height and shape. I love skinny and boot cut jeans, but these were a nice break from the norm! I’m also wearing my new Brahmin purse, which was an amazing Christmas gift. I’m in love. 🙂

//Continuing with my love for bright statement blazers, I wore this Forever 21 blazer out to a holiday happy hour and party. It was perfect for the cool weather along with my new favorite booties from Guess. And the bob is back in effect!
Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday break and only 2 more days until Christmas! 🙂

//This skirt was one of my Black Friday purchases and I’m in love with it! The color is great and the length is just right for me to wear it with heels. Long, maxi skirts are on trend this fall and there are lengths and designs to fit every shape and style! Here are few inspiration photos:

//Since Houston decided to actually have something resembling a winter this past weekend, I’ve been bundled up and trying to stay warm indoors. I’m not a fan of cold weather, but I do like some of the clothing associated with it – chic jackets, faux fur, and leather gloves! I’ve been adding new coats to my wardrobe and I found the best Houndstooth coat at WalMart of all places! I was browsing around for the random things people go to WalMart for, and walked past this coat and did a double-take! Houndstooth is such a classic pattern and with a price tag less than $30, there was no way I was leaving without the coat. So I grabbed it and the rest is history! The fit is perfect and the length works for me as a shorter gal. Loves!

My winter must-haves (photographed with Instagram, an app which I LOVE!)
And two random hair pics…It was a good hair day today! I washed my hair with my Queen Helene Shampoo, used the 2 Minute Aphogee Reconstuctor while in the shower, then deep conditioned with the Queen Helene Conditioner. Afterwards I put a generous amount of Redken Butter Treat on my hair as a leave-in and braided up my hair in about 8 sections with a perm rod securing the ends. After my hair dried fully (I find this is they key to preventing frizz), I rubbed my shea butter mixture (shea butter mixed with castor oil and peppermint oil) throughout my hair and scalp. I used the blowdryer to “poof” it out a bit and get some height and Voila!

//Wrap dresses are a woman’s best friend. The style of the dress allows it fit your body shape perfectly since you adjust it to your size. I purchased this dress from Banana Republic and I’m on the hunt for more great wrap dresses. I have not done an Essential Items for Your Wardrobe lately, but the next one will focus on dresses and skirts, and the wrap dress will definitely be on the list!
